How To Remove Calluses From Feet Naturally

Calluses are hardened layers of skin that are normally formed due to pressure on feet or due to some type of frictions. They have affected many people around the world and can be irritating or painful at times, but are usually not harmful.

However, they are irritating because when you walk, they are pressed on the underlying skins and this often results in swelling and tenderness of the foot accompanied with itching and burning sensation. Soaking Your Callused Feet:

There are four alternatives to soaking your callused feet:

  • Soaking them in chamomile tea:

You should soak your callused feet in chamomile feet for close to 20 minutes. This will help soften the hardened skin. Don’t worry if your feet get stained as you can remove the stains easily with soap and water.

  • Using baking soda:

Add two tablespoons of baking soda to little warm water and soak the callused feet for about 30 minutes. This will melt and dissolve the hardened dead skin and begin the healing process. It will take some days of soaking to remove the calluses fully.

  • Using Epsom salt:

Add a little amount of Epsom salt to warm water and soak your feet in them for a few minutes. The warm water will soften the hardened skin while the salt will aid in scrubbing the calluses away.Apple cider vinegar:

Soak a small bread slice in little apple cider vinegar for about half a day until it forms a paste. Apply this paste to the affected area before going to bed and firmly wrap it securely using a bandage. Wrap it on in a plastic sack and leave it on your feet overnight. You can remove it in the morning and rinse your feet with water.

Scrubbing Callus.

There are two options to scrub the calluses away:

  • Using the pumice stone:

soak your feet in warm water for 10 minutes and after that rub the calluses away using a pumice stone. You can also use a file or pumice stone to rub off the calluses at the end of the shower.

Rub the affected are with vigorous but circular motion. If you had a severe callus, you can often rinse your feet in the water as you continue rubbing the remaining calluses. You can also rinse the pumice stone so that it can get wet again. This will increase its grip to enable it to remove the dead skin easily. They should peel away after ten days of treatment. 

Use Onion To Remove Callus.

At times, solutions are very close to us but we never recognize them. Onion, a simple ingredient in most of our meals can help with calluses. You just need to pour white vinegar over a piece of white onion in a glass container. Leave the glass container in a warm place for 12 hours, and then cover your callus, or the affected area with onion before going to bed.

Use a bandage tape or a bandage to hold it in place overnight. Repeat this procedure on the affected area softens enough to be scrubbed away easily. 

Use Lemon To Remove Callus.

Lemon, just like apple cider vinegar, has acidic qualities. Natural acidic substances can be brilliant softeners to hard calluses and are not harmful to your skin. Therefore, before retiring to bed, cut a slice of lemon about an inch or two, and place the peel over the callus. Sure it with a bandage or bandage tape and cover it up using a cotton sock overnight.

One of the enzymes found in pineapple peel has properties of accelerating the softening of the calluses thereby making it easier to remove it.

All you need to do is to take a piece of pineapple peel that is big enough to cover the affected are. Place it on the callus in such a way that the inside of the pineapple peel touches the callus. Secure the peel by wrapping it up using a cloth. You may secure it further by wearing a cotton sock or a bandage tape. Leave it overnight, if not at least for several hours so as to soften the callus completely. Repeat this procedure every day so that to get rid of the callus completely.
